The Ticketing Coordinator will manage all ticketing operations for MLS/SUM Events. SUM holds the exclusive rights to Major League Soccer, the Mexican National Team (for the United States market), and CONCACAF Properties (Gold Cup™).


The Properties and Events department manages partnerships with Soccer United Marketing (“SUM”) Properties (U.S. Soccer, Federacion Mexicana de Futbol, CONCACAF, Liga MX and others) and oversees the development, planning and execution of Major League Soccer (“MLS”) and SUM events and platforms in North America each year, including marquee events like MLS All-Star, CONCACAF Gold Cup, MLS Cup, the Mexican National Team U.S. Tour, MLS Rivalry Week, MLS Decision Day, and U.S. Soccer Federation programming. The group also spearheads organization-wide initiatives, including hospitality/B2B programming, press/media events, department/executive meetings, competition events and the development of new platforms / partnerships for the enterprise.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee ticket operations around all MLS/SUM events including MLS ASG, MLS CUP, Gold Cup, Mexican National Team US Tour and other assigned events
  • Coordinate with stadium box offices on building SUM/MLS Events within their ticketing eco-system
  • Create and manage online presales, promo codes, and discrete links to facilitate ticket sales and promotions
  • Assist with sales campaigns, reporting, packaging, pricing strategies, and the creation of sales models for assigned matches
  • Manage the tracking and distribution of all contractual and internal ticketing needs
  • Assist with managing official Ticketing department partners
  • Act as customer service representative for all ticketing inquiries, as needed
  • Reconcile and manage Premium ticket packages to SUM/MLS Events
  • Oversee all aspects of the Premium Experience ticket packages offered to fans; from the sales process to day of game operations and execution of the experience
  • Support campaign strategies with the data acquisition team and build out CRM development opportunities around assigned events
  • Develop/coordinate promotional calendar/timeline for MLS/SUM events
  • Support ideation and execution of marketing initiatives in conjunction with other key internal stakeholders.
  • Work with MLS teams, stadiums, and host committees to maximize event relevance and revenue


Education and Experience

  • 1-3+ years of experience in cross-functional role in consumer business
  • Experience developing cross-functional promotion & ticket sales plans for sporting events
  • Bachelor’s Degree

 Required Skills

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint media, marketing, technology and events
  • Knowledge of US Sports landscape and North American sporting venues
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Spanish (both written and oral) is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
  • Ticketing experience preferred but not required
