The MLS Legal department is seeking a Paralegal to assist with the preparation of legal documents and redlines, handle various research projects, prepare rights summaries/charts, and track the status of pending agreements and other documents.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage process of preparing, distributing and executing a high volume of commercial agreements, amendments, renewals and other related documentation
  • Assist (under supervision of MLS attorneys) with preparation and negotiation of legal documents and redlines, and draft routine letters and other correspondence.
  • Maintain Contracts database and generate relevant reports as requested
  • Handle various post-execution matters such as obtaining and processing insurance certificates, responding to customs authorization requests, preparing notices of non-renewal, etc.
  • Summarize contracts, providing and maintaining necessary contractual/research information and rights analysis in response to business requests


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Paralegal certificate (or similar credential)
  • At least 2-3 years of legal administrative experience

Required Skills

  • Extensive previous contracts administration and database management experience in a similar role at a law firm and/or within a corporate legal department strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with outstanding organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of contest and sweepstakes federal and state laws and regulation of promotions and advertising a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Sound business judgement, and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters, including appropriately prioritizing among them.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the Spanish and/or French Language (business proficiency)
