The Coordinator, Competition will assist in administering tasks and projects associated with the Competition Department. These tasks and projects primarily include, but are not limited to, organizing, scheduling, tracking, processing and reporting of and on the Professional Match Evaluator and Match Observer Programs; weekly match notices and disciplinary summaries; Disciplinary Committee proceedings; On Field Sub-Committee and Technical Committee presentations and meetings; among others that help the Department meet its objectives.


  • Communicate with and gather information from various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Aggregate information for the purposes of disseminating weekly disciplinary summary and match notices.
  • Track and report on disciplinary point accumulation per Club.
  • Support the logistical and administrative management of the Professional Match Evaluator (PME) and Match Observer programs.
  • Assist in tracking and producing reports on officiating quality and standards.
  • Support coordination and administration of the Department, the Disciplinary Committee, the On-Field Sub Committee and the Technical Committee.
  • Assist in producing materials for presentations to various committees, clubs and league personnel.
  • Liaise with Clubs to coordinate various meetings, conference calls, and other periodic engagements.
  • Provide supportive material to various Competition Department personnel when required.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.



Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3+ years of experience 

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Product Suites and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

 Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
