The Senior Coordinator will be involved in the day-to day administration of the MLS security team, SSA & RSSA programs. Additionally, research across all areas of the security landscape, interpretation and presentation of the findings will be required, as the MLS security group continues to meet the challenges of securing High Profile Soccer and other events.


  • Manage and coordinate the administration of the Soccer Security Agent program, for both the MLS domestic season and selected SUM International events, including;
    • Scheduling
    • Travel
    • Hotels
    • Invoicing and payments
  • Coordinate and participate in internal security and department operations meetings as required.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and meeting notes.
  • Provide administrative support as required to the following:
    • Domestic Operations
    • Soccer Operations Center
    • MLS Marquee events (All-Star Game and MLS Cup)
    • International Operations
    • Mexico National Team
    • Other SUM International Properties
  • Liaise as directed with internal and external partners, vendors, and contractors, possibly including venue’s local, state and federal police
  • Report Monitoring (Soccer Security Agent – Post-Match Safety Report)
  • Monitoring social media and producing appropriate reports
  • Monitoring and managing the disposal of enquiries and investigations
  • Managing the development and publication of the Security Operations manual

Additional Responsibilities

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Safety & Security
  • Potential for occasional field deployments
  • The ability to conduct basic research may be required


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management, Business or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Safety & Security (Sports)

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
