  • Overview

    The Coordinator, Business Development assists the Business Development team with the sale of integrated sponsorship opportunities, which deliver value above and beyond traditional rights fees in the form of media (broadcast, digital and content), MLS clubs partnerships and other strategic enterprise considerations.

    Responsibilities

    • Support and help to drive the implementation and execution of the annual sales strategy
    • Deliver industry, category, and brand-specific research
    • Assist in the development of sales overview materials, pitch decks and proposals
    • Participate in partnership ideation process
    • Accompany executives to sales meetings
    • Spearhead event hospitality and client gifting strategy for department
    • Manage Global Sponsorship revenue pipeline (sales and renewal tracker)
    • Administrative functions as necessary
    • Assist in managing intern(s) day-to-day responsibilities
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1+ years of experience in sports industry experience with a property, agency or brand
    • Desire to learn sponsorship sales process and grow into a sales professional in sports industry
    • High-energy, self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset
    • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
    • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
    • High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
    • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
