  • Overview

    The Director of Information Security will support the League’s Information Security program. The Director will be responsible for protecting the organizations computers, network, applications and data against cyber-threats while managing incident response and information security training for staff.  This position will report directly to the SVP, Information Technology providing strategic guidance in our security program and performing technical work. 

    Responsibilities

    • Support the ongoing initiatives outlined in the League’s Information Security program
    • Work with our VSOC and lead incident response activities across the enterprise
    • Work closely with other departments including Legal & HR
    • Evaluate and recommend security technologies that are best for our environment
    • Define and update security policies and documentation
    • Conduct and manage vulnerability and penetration testing
    • Manage security awareness programs and training
    • Conduct simulated phishing, vishing and SMiShing attacks
    • Define security requirements for new projects and applications across the organization
    • Configure and perform log analysis and alerting
    • Support compliance initiatives around PCI and GDPR
    • Manage the systems and process that deliver real-time information security reporting

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
    • 8+ years of experience in an Information Security role
    • CISSP or CISM or GISP Certification

    Required Skills

    • Expertise in operating systems including Windows, Linux and OS X
    • Implementation and administration experience with SIEM
    • Experience in Mobile Security including operating system and mobile device management
    • Experience in Network Security
    • Experience with internet facing services and a 24x7 environment
    • Working experience with Cloud Computing platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
    • Experience with virtualization technologies
    • Knowledge of PCI compliance and standards
    • Knowledge of GDPR implementation and regulation standards
    • Excellent written and communication skills
    • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
    • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Demonstrated decision making and solutions oriented
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    Desired Skills

    • Familiarity with the CSC 20
    • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
    • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
