    The Senior Director, Ecommerce and Omini-Channel Marketing grows awareness, reach, and revenue of SUM properties through the creation, implementation and optimization of omni channel marketing campaigns. The Senior Director uses data to identify new opportunities, measure success, and recommend strategy changes to build omni channel growth and penetration.

    Responsibilities

    Club Retail:

    • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the growth of the ecommerce business with a drive toward awareness, traffic and sales
    • Analyze, review, recommend and build strategic and tactical changes that drive business profitability by increasing visitors and improving conversion rates
    • Manage 3rd Party Ecommerce Partnership to ensure they deliver a superior product and service against the League and MLS Club sites
    • Foster and direct relationship between 3rd Party Ecommerce Provider and MLS Clubs
    • Coordinate with the MLS Digital and Editorial teams for added fan engagement
    • Work closely with cross functional teams (MLS Digital, MLS CRM & Analytics, MLS Marketing, MLS Clubs, and third-party ecommerce partner) to provide a seamless and positive experience to the consumer
    • Collaborate with 3rd Party Ecommerce Partner to determine growth/optimization opportunities by performing and analyzing click through rates, conversion rates and spend ROI analytics
    • Develop and oversee yearly national and local (Club driven) digital marketing calendars; inclusive of CRM and email campaign strategies
    • Work directly with clubs to support their digital commerce efforts
      • Create digital marketing programs in coordination with the Clubs
      • Help the clubs leverage digital commerce systems to drive business
      • Coordinate digital commerce advertising and sponsorship campaigns
    • Ongoing analysis of promotional campaigns to fully understand opportunities for growth

    Key Accounts / Marketplace commerce:

    • Develop and execute merchandise programs with key national retail partners
    • Participate in line reviews with licensees to assist retail buyers with appropriate product buys
    • Manage marketplace commerce inclusive of Walmart.com and other digital commerce opportunities
    • Manage day to day relationship with buying and marketing teams

    Manager Responsibilities:

    • Manage hiring and onboarding process by interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training employees
    • Accomplish team results by communicating job expectations and managing the Performance Management process:
      • Plan, monitor, and review performance;
      • Coach and counsel employees;
      • Develop and implement department procedures and productivity standards and reinforce Company policies
    • Develop personal growth opportunities for employees
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 10+ years of experience in digital commerce and social marketing
    • Previous experience working with an ecommerce platform and a proven track record of increasing sales and traffic
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of retail production, marketing and sales timelines
    • Proven track record of ability to generate new ideas and translate them into high-quality, engaging commerce-driven marketing campaigns
    • Customer acquisition expertise though SEM, Social, etc. and the ability to use data and analytics to inform marketing decisions to optimize marketing plans
    • Extensive knowledge of social media
    • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
    • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with Omniture or equivalent
    • Passionate about North American soccer and intimately connected with the soccer scene
    • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
