  • Overview

    The Integrated Media Solutions (IMS) team manages the commercial media efforts for our MLS & SUM properties. As a member of the Integrated Media Solutions department, the Coordinator of IMS will be the subject-matter expert on MLS & SUM Digital advertising systems and processes, who will help operationalize and streamline all internal aspects of our digital media campaigns. The responsibilities of this role will be split between the two organizations (MLS & SUM) in a 50/50 capacity.

     

    The Coordinator of IMS will serve as the internal first line of contact to ensure proper execution and management of standard and custom digital media advertising and sponsorship programs. He/she will work with the Planning, Business (Ad) Operations, Editorial, Production, Social, and Partnership Marketing teams to ensure that the campaign is delivering, and meeting client’s expectations based on contract terms, goals and objectives set forth by the client. Although this function focuses on digital media and content packaging strategy, development and execution, it is incumbent upon the Coordinator to liaise closely with our on-air broadcast partners (Univision/ESPN/FOX) to maximize our media activations.

    Responsibilities

    • Support Account lead in project managing all digital/linear contractual media elements to ensure optimal fulfillment, provide best-in-class client services while delivering on client objectives, and League-sponsored initiatives. 
    • Ideate and create partner sponsorship opportunities/solutions that provide value beyond the 90-minute game and drive revenue for the organization.
    • During program development, partner closely with internal stakeholders including Planning, Editorial/Production, Social and Business Operations to ensure all elements of the client objectives and brief are answered/planned for (inclusive of partner mandatories, tracking/tagging elements, etc.).
    • Serve as the point of contact for advertiser/agency relationships on campaign managemen
    • Liaise between Business Operations, Creative, and Media agencies to communicate specs, obtain delivery details, organize kick-off calls and assist in the trafficking process to ensure timely launch of media assets. 
    • Work with Business Operations on video/social performance metrics tracking for partner sponsorship programs across owned/operated/distributed channels
    • Create and own the development of program reporting and wrap reports for campaigns.
    • Develop call summaries/recap reports for internal and external conference calls and send to internal and external teams following discussions.
    • Create and distribute agendas/status reports for internal meetings and upon request, client meetings.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with SUM Partners and their activation and media agencies with an emphasis on U.S. Soccer
    • Additonal responisibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1+ years digital marketing/promotions/advertising role or capacity.
    • Client Service and/or Account Management experience a plus.
    • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
    • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Demonstrated decision making and solutions oriented
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    Desired Skills

    • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
    • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
    • Ability to travel to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
