Overview

The Integrated Media Solutions (IMS) team oversees the advertising and sponsorship efforts for SUM’s portfolio of digital assets. This position will be responsible for managing the reporting and performance management processes for sponsored campaigns across SUM’s owned, operated and distributed channels. They will liaise with stakeholders across the Media, IMS Account Management, IMS Ad Operations and Social Teams to ameliorate current reporting processes and optimize the delivery and performance of content to engage fans and drive business results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an analytics database for sponsored content across our portfolio of digital assets including MLSsoccer.com, MLS app, MLS Club websites, MLS Social Handles, ussoccer.com, USSF Social Handles, Concacaf’s suite of sites/apps, Concacaf Social Handles, Mexican National Team Social Handles and additional SUM Digital assets as relevant
    • Create and automate digital and social content reporting to allow for clean analysis of sponsored campaign performance
    • Transform digital and social data into digestible stories for SUM Corporate Partners
  • Identify and socialize digital and social insights that highlight the growth and engagement delivered across SUM Digital assets
  • Assist in the performance management optimization process to ensure the full revenue recognition of SUM Digital advertising and sponsorship campaigns
    • Work closely with IMS ad operations team to integrate digital and social sponsorship reporting with traditional advertising delivery from google ad manager
  • Contribute to the amelioration of SUM’s advertising research capabilities
    • Enhance SUM’s capacity to delineate the value delivered via sponsored/branded content
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in in a media analytics role (ideally with a focus on advertising and sponsorship)
  • In-depth knowledge of social media analytics
  • Proficient in SQL and Python
  • Experience with BI Tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • High-level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally with the ability to present to SUM Corporate Partners
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
