Overview

This Director position will lead strategic development and advanced planning efforts for MLS marketing, with a focus on future fan growth opportunities, driving innovation and process around new and existing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategy, management, and execution of eMLS, including the future evolution
  • Lead marketing relationship with EA, collaborating with other key stakeholders and ensuring eMLS integration, as well as the development of casual gamer strategies and initiatives
  • Work closely with other internal leaders to co-author vision for other gaming opportunities, including outside sports
  • Alongside other working group experts, help shape a new MLS strategy for youth segment audience, with a focus on specific and actionable marketing tactics
  • Establish and lead new planning process for MLS marketing team across Big Event activity, enabling more efficient, connected, and advanced planning
  • Provide marketing leadership for commercial partnership relationships, establishing new onboarding, seasonal planning, and ongoing activation and creative review process, in coordination and consultation with Partnership Marketing team

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience, with 5+ years consulting, marketing, or gaming experience

Requirements

  • Excellent ability to develop strategic roadmaps and sell-in strategies
  • Strong knowledge of gaming / eGaming
  • Interest and familiarity with soccer
  • Ability to thrive on new challenges and delivering solutions
  • Proven ability to successfully lead project management for complicated initiatives
