Senior Director, Player Engagement

 

This role provides overall support to the Player Engagement team, focusing on player trainings and educational programs and initiatives. Individual will respond to inquiries accordingly and will draft documentation as necessary.  This individual will work across the team to ensure overall operating efficiency.  The Senior Coordinator will report to the Senior Director, Player Engagement and assist others as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall support to the Player Engagement department.
  • Create applicable resources and support documents to facilitate delivery of player trainings.
  • Communicate with IT and vendors on system integration and onboarding requirements of technological platforms to fulfill player training obligations.
  • Perform audits of mandatory player trainings for clubs.
  • Draft and create communications to relevant stakeholders as necessary.
  • Assist in the curriculum design and management of player programming and educational initiatives.
  • Manage qualitative analysis of the data and research to identify and implement best practices and strategic integration of player training and educational needs.
  • Developing and distribute monthly content regarding mental health and wellness for internal and public facing campaigns on mental health, mental health awareness calendar, and other initiatives developed by the Player Engagement department.
  • Provide support for logistics and planning regarding mental health and wellness programs such as in-person and virtual panels on mental health with players, industry leaders, and other identified professionals.
  • Develop and maintain a league wide database regarding mental health incident reports and crisis response.
  • Provide logistical support for mental health initiatives such as the mental health task force, clinician registry, and other initiatives needed to increase MLS mental health and wellness capacity.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Ability to maintain confidential information thereby establishing positive relationships with front office personnel, players, coaches, administrators, and other professional and collegiate sports affiliates
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Knowledge of the sport and entertainment industry

Total Rewards

Starting Base Salary $58,500 - $65,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
