The Coordinator, Benefits is responsible for administration and support of employee and Player benefits, as well as wellness and employee engagement activities for League Office staff.


  • Provide administrative support to Total Rewards Team:
  • Manage day-to-day administration of US and Canadian benefits.
  • Coordinate and process benefit open enrollments, new hire enrollments, and terminations (COBRA)
  • Daily management of both Workday and HR inboxes for tier one benefits administration.
  • Provide administrative support for Short Term Disability and process Long Term Disability claims.
  • Manage and track Leave of Absence administration.
  • Maintain data and reporting systems.
  • Provide administrative support on base, variable pay, and nonpay recognition programs.
  • Manage invoice processing.
  • Provide support and assistance in coordination of Wellness activities and employee engagement programming.
  • Provide general administrative support to Senior Director and Senior Manager of team.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support team project work including, but not limited to:
  • Annual Benefits Administration – 1095C, Enrollment Audits, Annual Open Enrollment
  • Benefits Renewals
  • Annual Review Process
  • Annual Compensation Planning Process
  • Benefit and wellness programming
  • Employee Anniversaries
  • Employee Communications – Posting general communications and support with Monthly Newsletter



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years benefits or HR administration experience preferred.
  • Experience with benefit plans, benefit enrollment and processing.
  • Experience working with a Human Capital Management system; prior experience with Workday would be a plus.
  • Meticulous with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential material.
  • Outstanding organization, project management skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of dedication to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service oriented.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with benefit enrollment sites
  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)



Starting Base Salary: $45,000 – $55,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
