Senior Director, Finance

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for managing and supporting MLS Club financial analysis and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect and review Club financial results, which includes a thorough examination of each team and stadium P&L and in-depth analysis of all Club business functions.
• Review and analyze team and stadium projections in order to provide a consolidated projection for MLS executives
• Review headcount reports provided by Clubs in order to provide feedback for team headcount requests
• Collect and review ticket reporting sent by the Clubs to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Assist in the collection and review of an enterprise long-range plan
• Establish strong working relationships with each Club’s financial representative.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all job functions
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of experience

• Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze from a macro level as well
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally collaboratively across multiple departments
• Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple senior executives and staff

• Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Self-starter with good time management skills when urgent deadlines need to be met

Desired Skills

• Hyperion experience a plus
• Understanding of the soccer industry

Total Rewards

Starting Base Salary $65,000 – 80,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
