Overview

This position will assist in managing various aspects of the Leagues Cup competition and team services. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with clubs' technical departments, monitoring club travel, supporting match-day staffing (Match Commissioners, medical, operations), ensuring compliance with competition rules, format, and guidelines. The individual must demonstrate effective time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support all facets of the Leagues Cup Competition and Team Services department, including the enforcement of competition rules, and policies
  • Support contractors and match day staff with items around team services before and during the Tournament.
  • Assist with referee and match official administration – including any match and travel logistics and reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring the department email account and incoming communications involving internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in producing materials for presentations to various committees, Clubs and league personnel.
  • Liaise with Clubs and internal stakeholders to coordinate various meetings, conference calls, and other periodic engagements.
  • Provide supportive material to various Leagues Cup Department personnel when required.
  • Assist with additional administrative department duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of experience

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

 Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

 Job Type

  • Part Time (~ 20 hours per week)
  • Temporary position

Compensation:

  • $19 – $23 an hour
