Major League Soccer (MLS) seeks innovative, talented and passionate students to contribute to the growth of Soccer in North America.

The Operations department oversees match day operations for MLS and all Soccer United Marketing events. This department is the primary point of contact for the operations and match presentation teams at each Club. On site, operations executes venue and team logistics, credentials and any pre and post-match ceremonies.

Located at the League Office Headquarters in New York City, the Summer Intern Program is a 10-week program that runs from June 3rd-August 5th.  Interns will be a part of an inclusive culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration, values diversity and promotes creativity.

• Event assistant for the MLS NEXT and Unified matches at MLS All-Star week.
• Collect information from weekend matches and follow up with disciplinary notices as needed.
• Support the Operations department at international matches over the summer.
• Monitor weather and other inbound calls in SOC (soccer operations center) on MLS match days and TOC (tournament operations center) on Leagues Cup match days.
• Help pack department supplies for each event and sort inventory upon return.

• Recent college graduate
• Currently enrolled in a post-graduate program

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
• High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Must commit to attend full 10-week program
• Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus

TOTAL REWARDS

Major League Soccer offers an hourly salary of $20 based on a 40-hour work week.
