Overview

The Partner Media Management team manages the commercialization strategy and execution of media sponsorship and advertising efforts for MLS & SUM properties. As a department, PMM plays an important role in helping the larger MLS/SUM organization to articulate the value proposition of assets across owned, operated and distributed media channels to both internal and external stakeholders, ultimately driving value for the enterprise, official marketing partners and broadcast/distribution media partners.

 

The Manager, Business Operations will assist in the development of our monetization strategy for fan data driven advertising and sponsorship initiatives while being responsible for paid sponsorship extensions across social platforms, packaging digital commercial opportunities, and providing digital insights and narratives for our official marketing partners.   

Responsibilities

  • Identify marketplace trends in the consumer data and social sponsorship space
  • Create monetizable solutions that keep our business at the forefront of the sports sponsorship landscape
  • Develop audience extension opportunities that offer quality engagement and help deliver against sponsorship KPIs
  • Execute paid social campaigns to extend the reach of sponsorship positions
  • Identify and socialize digital and social insights that highlight the growth and engagement delivered across MLS/SUM Digital assets
  • Assist in the performance management optimization process to ensure the full revenue recognition of advertising and sponsorship campaigns
  • Support Partnership Marketing, Properties & Events, Business Alliances and Strategic Planning with media sales insights and analysis
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ year of experience, with 3+ years of experience in digital media buying, digital sponsorship execution and/or media data analytics

 

Required Skills

  • Understanding of digital advertising and social sponsorship models
  • Ability to execute media buys across social platforms that deliver against KPIs
  • In-depth knowledge of social media analytics and tools
  • Experience working across multiple constituent internal and external groups
  • Tireless work ethic, willingness to roll up sleeves to drive and lead a commitment to excellence
  • Superior organization and project management skills with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multifaceted organization
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

 

Total Rewards

Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting base salary of $75,000 - $85,000, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
