Overview

As Manager, Content Partner Management, you will be responsible for partnering with the Sr. Director of Partnership Management in driving success of digital content partners in the U.S. and globally. The Manager will play an integral role in collaborating across various departments such as Brand Marketing, Consumer Products, Content Distribution, Broadcast Operations, Communications, Finance and Events.

 

Responsibilities

  • Increase value of digital partnerships and support partner success and renewals by building strong relationships with partners with a focus on increasing MLS presence across partner channels
  • Promote and engage in cross-functional collaboration within the organization to keep partners updated on MLS initiatives and content creation opportunities
  • Keep abreast of media trends and monitor partner platforms with the ability to pitch new ideas and adapt to the changing media landscape
  • Manage processes and execution of partnership fulfillment (e.g., ticket requests, ordering premiums, kits, other partner gifts) for the Media department
  • Project manage and coordinate logistics for key media partnership meetings and events (e.g., Media & Marketing Tour, All-Star Game, MLS Cup, Leagues Cup, Media Opportunities)
  • Act as department stakeholder and collaborate with Hospitality to host partners at major events and manage processes for partner invites, registrations, RSVPs, tickets and credentials to tentpole events (e.g., All-Star Game, MLS Cup, Leagues Cup)
  • Fulfill footage requests for partner content initiatives
  • Develop and present professional PowerPoint decks for media team meetings with partners, Clubs and League Executives
  • Manage partner payment schedule and invoicing

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience required, with 3+ years of experience in partnership management
  • Experience managing budgets

  • Demonstrates a 'can-do' attitude and readiness to take on diverse challenges beyond the formal job description
  • Actively seeks opportunities to contribute to team success, showing flexibility and a willingness to engage in a wide range of tasks to support the team's objectives and organizational needs
  • Passion for growing the sport of soccer in North America, with a strong knowledge of the dynamic media landscape
  • High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel (approximately 10%) and work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and willingness to travel.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

Desired skill

  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)

Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting base salary of $75,000 - $85,000, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
