Overview

This is a temporary position beginning on or about January 1, 2026 through on or about December 31, 2026 and payrolled through a 3rd Party Provider.

 

The Partner Solutions & Insights department is a centralized, foundational support team dedicated to enabling new business efforts, current partner retention, and identifying/development of property-specific commercial opportunities across Major League Soccer (MLS) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM). The group is seeking a Senior Coordinator in a temporary position who has experience understanding and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data coupled with strong presentation-building skills. The Senior Coordinator will play a role in the planning and production of sponsorship measurement reports as well as the creation of insights-based go-to-market materials utilizing syndicated research and/or custom studies under the guidance of and in collaboration with department Managers/Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist planning and production of sponsorship measurement reports, showcasing value and performance metrics delivered through MLS and SUM properties for commercial partners
  • Support in the creation of external commercial deliverables inclusive of but not limited to partner quick hit recaps, go-to-market decks, case studies, property sell-sheets, and ad-hoc materials
  • Assist with maintenance and utilization of MLS and SUM’s sponsorship valuation tool – testing and evaluating its functionality, supporting its use by commercial teams, and understanding weight of value-driving critical metrics (e.g., TV viewership, attendance, etc.)
  • Support the continued development of research capabilities focused on understanding fans across MLS and SUM properties both through syndicated tools and custom research studies
  • Assist with analysis of white space opportunities and RFP drafts related to custom projects to address business needs and commercial objectives
  • Contribute to the development of processes and “insights shares” to further a culture of learning, integration, and analytical thought – keeping a pulse on key trends, attitudes, and consumer behaviors across the sports industry and priority/emerging categories
  • Support the continued development and adoption of inventory management platform, inclusive of data input, departmental liaising, quality control/platform maintenance, and reporting analysis to ensure revenue maximization.
  • Support relationship management of third-party data vendors and measurement agencies
  • Contribute to sponsorship measurement plan by assisting with day-to-day communication with data vendors, planning for weekly meetings, and drafting supporting materials for project planning and high-quality, timely execution
  • Assist in any department initiatives or special projects
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of experience required
  • Experience understanding and interpreting quantitative and qualitative research, preferred
  • Experience with and foundational understanding of Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer

  • Outstanding skills with Excel and other data-analysis tools
  • Understanding of valuation principles, from sports industry or others

Total Rewards

 

Starting compensation $30.00 - $33.00/hour; 40 hours/week. MLS/SUM compensation is contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
