Major League Soccer is looking for an experienced professional to help build and scale our human resources applications & systems. As part of the Technology team, this position will provide technology management and expertise in collaboration with the League's HR Department. The selected candidate will collaborate with the VP, Technology Solutions and will act as the single point of contact for all technical needs supporting our HR solutions. This person will analyze processes & requirements and support the development of a comprehensive technology roadmap.
This position will support the management of all competition aspects of Leagues Cup. This includes maintaining relationships with the technical departments of Clubs, all aspects of Club travel, match-day officiating and staffing (Match Commissioners, medical, operations), competition rules, format, and guidelines. The individual must use effective time management, be highly organized and employ problem-solving skills to service 47 clubs, supervise 77 matches and set a standard for operational excellence.
In addition to Leagues Cup, this Manager, Competition will support other Properties and marquee events such as Mexican Football Federation (FMF) and CONCACAF.
The Manager Licensing will partner with the Sr. Director of Licensing, Consumer Products to lead end to end process of licensing including: strategic planning, business development and execution of the League’s licensees of the consumer products strategy.
The Manager will deliver sales and revenue updates including: consumer product forecast, seasonal product development process, and retail placement and promotions in partnership with SUM Consumer Products Retail Development Team. Individual will work closely with our Fanatics team, including sub-licensees and Fanatics Brands.

Soccer United Marketing (SUM) is seeking a results-driven manager to be oversee the strategic partnership with the Federación Mexicana de Futbol (FMF) / Mexican National Teams. This position will work hand in hand with the Vice President, International Properties to build and implement the strategy to capitalize the most important commercial/sporting cycle of the FMF property yet. This team member will specifically help lead the relationship with FMF.
The Manager, International Communications is a fully bilingual media relations professional (English & Spanish), who is responsible for publicizing Soccer United Marketing (SUM) properties and Major League Soccer (MLS) across domestic and international media, as well creating and driving media operations for major international soccer events.
In September 2021, LIGA MX and Major Leagues Soccer announced the expansion of Leagues Cup in 2023 to an annual 4-week tournament featuring all LIGA MX and MLS clubs. Leagues Cup is an official Concacaf competition, and the top three finishers receive spots in the Concacaf Champions League, with the winner advancing directly to the round of 16. Leagues Cup is the first and only officially sanctioned multi-country club competition in the world, which represents an extraordinary opportunity to build one of the most unique and exciting club tournaments in the world within the Concacaf ecosystem while accelerating the growth of soccer in the United States.
Position Summary
Soccer United Marketing also works with Concacaf to build, grow and commercialize their tournaments and fan engagement opportunities, including Concacaf Gold Cup, Concacaf Nations League Finals, Concacaf Champions League, and Concacaf W Gold Cup. We’re looking for a Director, Properties to lead the partnership activities for SUM’s work with Concacaf and Leagues Cup in managing the business relationship and property commercial growth initiatives. The role will focus on leading overall project timelines and developing commercial frameworks, presentations, and other supporting assets.
The Properties & Emerging Ventures Team at Major League Soccer (“MLS”) plan and execute MLS Big Events and League platforms, the most visible moments for our league throughout the year. Such events drive fandom and commercial growth and include MLS All-Star, MLS Skills Challenge, MLS Playoffs & Cup, and MLS SuperDraft.
The Senior Coordinator, Properties will be a key member of the team leading the platform planning process cross functionally. The role will focus on leading project timelines, as well developing marketing and commercial frameworks, presentations, and other supporting assets.
