Developing world-class players is a core pillar of MLS’ strategy to become a League of choice in global soccer.    In 2022, Major League Soccer will launch a new professional soccer league to complete the pathway from the elite player development platform of MLS NEXT to MLS first teams.  The new professional league will grow the game in North America, providing even more opportunities for players, staff, fans, communities, partners and investors.  A platform for innovation both on and off the field, new league will provide a competitive environment for players on the pitch while bringing the global game closer to fans throughout the U.S.   As Major League Soccer plans to launch a new professional league, we are looking for a dedicated, passionate and experienced individual to help build, grow, and lead the new league across all aspects of the operation.   The Director, Communications manages and executes communications activities for the new professional league announced my Major League Soccer in June.  This position oversees all aspects of communications, advises new professional league executives on communications strategy, supports functional areas of the league, serves as a spokesperson to the media and works closely with all new professional league clubs on communications strategy.  The position is based in New York, NY.

The Motion Artist & Graphic Designer will sit within MLS Creative Services. The Creative department is an in-house team – part of the Brand & Integrated Marketing Department – that services all internal constituents of the League, including Clubs and Soccer United Marketing, the commercial and operational branch of MLS representing soccer-related properties.   The Motion Artist & Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of solutions from ideation to completion, with a focus on production of animations and motion graphics in After Effects and HTML5. Candidate should have a strong understanding of layout, typography and color theory. Some projects are print-based and require knowledge of print design and production. Other projects are for static digital assets such as web banners, social graphics and video slates.
